על כן קרא למקום ההוא באר שבע כי שם נשבעו שניהם

עַל־כֵּ֗ן קָרָ֛א לַמָּקֹ֥ום הַה֖וּא בְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע כִּ֛י שָׁ֥ם נִשְׁבְּע֖וּ שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃

Therefore, he called that place Beʾer Sheva, because there the two of them swore an oath.
